Resin Transfer Molding (RTM) technology enables the efficient production of high-strength, lightweight components for various industries. The injection process involves introducing resin into a closed mold containing fiber materials, resulting in excellent surface quality and reproducible mechanical properties. Ideal for series production and complex geometries.
The development of composite materials for the production of weight-optimized components combines carbon or glass fibers with high-performance resin systems. The goal is to create components with an optimal strength-to-weight ratio. Through targeted fiber orientation and material combinations, innovative solutions are created that increase safety, efficiency, and sustainability in modern applications.
The serial production of RTM components relies on automated processes and precise tools to ensure high production volumes with consistent quality. Short cycle times and minimal post-processing make RTM particularly suitable for the cost-effective manufacturing of lightweight structural components in various industrial applications.

At RC, all design work is done in-house.
We use various 3D CAD systems, including Catia, ProEngineer, SolidWorks, NX, and others, to create customized solutions.
We define the layer structure, specify adhesive bonds and connection elements according to the component designs, and draw on a comprehensive range of components for assembly.

Depending on the choice of suitable materials and production parameters, products can be individually designed in terms of shape, weight, strength, and stiffness to meet specific customer requirements. Consistent lightweight construction, high stiffness and strength, good chemical resistance, low weight, and excellent automotive surface finishes can be optimally achieved using RTM technology.
RTM technology is preferred for manufacturing components subjected to high structural loads or requiring specific specifications regarding shape, temperature, dimensional accuracy, weight, and stability.
Cost-effectiveness, series production, lightweight construction, and functional integration are further key advantages of this technology, which we recognized very early on and industrialized for the series production of CFRP/GFRP components.

Focus on vehicle doors
One of our priorities is the development of complete vehicle doors for special vehicles. Using sophisticated solutions, RC has developed manufacturing concepts for vehicle doors that are specifically geared to the needs of production runs up to 10,000 units.
No other company in the industry is represented in so many vehicles with RTM lightweight doors. We are a leader in the development and production of complete door systems using RTM technology in CFRP / GFRP composite materials. The sophisticated RC-lightweight solutions bring both safety and weight savings to special vehicle production, together with comfort, innovation and perfection.

Series Production
The production process uses the resin injection method, with the term RTM standing for “resin transfer moulding”.
We only process high quality polyester and epoxy resin systems with carbon, glass or aramid reinforcing fibres. Depending on the selection and combination of these materials, the properties of the component can be precisely adjusted to the wishes and requirements of our customers. RC has several RTM installations and press lines for series production.
RTM technology is the preferred option for the production of components, that must meet the highest demands in terms of strength, stiffness, weight and surface quality. Thus, we are able achieve cycle times and reproducible qualities that open up the route to higher units per year.
We are ISO 9001:2015 certified and have an approval of the Federal Office of Motor Transport (KBA).
